From Rudy: “This was the inaugural season for the Hawks. They are associated with Gilbert Highland High School Hawks. The season didn’t go as planned and they ended up with a record of 3-5. The season lasted over 5 months and the boys loved every single minute. Not once complaining about running hills at 5am on Saturdays or even during hell week in July where they practiced 4days a week 2hrs a day in the Phoenix heat. From Chuck: “Here’s a pic at the first tournament, “Strike Out Cancer” event hosted by (NCS) National Championship Sports. We got in last minute due to a team dropping out. We went 2-1 lost in the semifinals. So proud of the way they played for their first tournament. We play up in this league to 12u. It gets us ready for our tournament play which is against a way more competitive field. Here is the Banner we will be hanging for our games and tournaments.
