Fabrication Shop Pipefitter Journeyman

, Full-Time Gilbert, AZ

This position will require someone who has experience in fitting large bore carbon steel, and stainless-steel pipe in a fabrication shop environment with pipe positioners and overhead cranes. Our fabrication shop is in an air-conditioned atmosphere.

Located in the East Valley of Phoenix, Crawford Mechanical Services has been serving Arizona for 22+ years as one of the largest Mechanical & Plumbing Contractors in the state. Requirements:

  • Full-time
  • 4-5 Years Experience
  • Ability to frequently lift/carry (50) lbs. in a (8) hour day (may occasionally be expected to lift up to (100) lbs.)
  • Stand or kneel (8) to (10) hours per day
  • Must be able to bend at waist, reach above shoulder, climb or squat continuously (8) to (10) hours per day
  • Use upper extremities for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulations
  • Work outdoors in extreme conditions (i.e., heat, cold etc.)
  • Must be able to work in tight or confined spaces (within reason)
  • Trained with the ability to read and work from blueprints, technical manuals, charts, and schematics.
  • Must have knowledge in the practice of materials used in the installation of new construction Piping systems.
  • Skilled at performing cutting, soldering, brazing, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and structures.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment and tools.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Observe and adhere to safety requirements and safe work practices and methods as required.
  • Work independently and under minimal supervision of Fabrication Shop Warehouse Manager.
  • Interacting with superintendent, project managers and tradesman in a professional manor.
  • Basic understanding of how to estimate time and materials needed for non-technical tasks.
  • Basic ability to document needed plumbing materials, including drawings and take off estimates.
  • Must possess own tools necessary to perform required jobs/tasks.
